Here is an opportunity for deaf young people to work with a leading youth development organisation in India called PRAVAH .
Position: Pravah SMILE Professionals

1. What is this about?
The SMILE Professionals program aims to support young people in building professional skills for youth work such that they are able to design, facilitate and manage youth leadership interventions with young people and support them in realizing their own personal and professional aspirations through opportunities to immerse themselves in the social sector.  
The programme will be accessible to deaf young persons by ensuring interpreters at all levels.

2. What is the position?
You will be recruited as a SMILE Professional with Pravah and will be responsible for:
- Being part of the core team- Setting up, co-leading and running a youth fellowship for young people in India to support them lead social action in their own communities
- Contribute to making the programme accessible for deaf young people

3. What is the duration?
Approximately six months- You are expected to be part of the programme from  September 20- March 2021

4. Is this a full time role?
No. It is a part time role. You are expected to contribute 8-10 days per month.

5. Is this paid?
Yes. There is a stipend of INR6000 pm for the project. Apart from this, Pravah will invest in learning and development through training and mentoring.

6. Who is eligible?
- Deaf young people within the age group of 18-29 years of age.
- Fluency in Indian Sign Language and English
- Can work with Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word
- An experience of working/volunteering either in social work or leading a social experiment or work with young people and adolescents
-Access to good internet- laptop and phone
- Openness to learning and feedback
- Eagerness to work in a team
